E-visa holders can now apply for a tourist visa lasting up to six months simply by having a hotel reservation. According to the official website, the facilitated visa regime was approved by Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, in February. This regime includes citizens from 19 countries, India being one of them.

Russia e-Visa Application Processing Time and Fees

The e-visa application process is designed to be fast and straightforward. The visa processing time will take a maximum of four days, which includes weekends and bank holidays. The consular fee for the e-visa is set at $40 (approximately ₹3,290).

Indian passport holders can apply for the e-visa starting from August 1 at 10:00 am Moscow Time (12:30 PM IST) through the official website. The website will operate 24/7, offering the convenience of applying for the e-visa at any time.

Applicants are required to complete the e-visa application form online and submit it at least 72 hours before their intended travel date. Once the application is submitted, applicants will receive a response email within four days, indicating the status of their e-visa.
